When it comes to doing anything worthwhile, it is worthwhile to prepare and have some gear at hand. In this case, having hiking boots available to you, so that your hiking experience is as pleasant as possible, is definitely to your advantage. If you are getting a one of the Wine Hiker's touring packages, why not make it a double gift and provide some foot gear as well!

When it comes to wines, my approach is basically this: refer to someone or something that knows the subject matter better than you do. When you know it, great. But when you don't, why not let those who work with and enjoy the benefits of wines share their knowledge?
While most who go on wine tours and/or wine hikes know a thing or two about wines, there are most definitely going to be those, like myself, where wine is a mysterious subject. With wines, I lean on those who know it like the back of their hands. When on the trail with fellow wine drinkers, benefit from their knowledge and that of the sommelier!
When it comes to folks deciding to invest in a case or two of wine... that is the best time to ask questions, try a flight or two, and go home with a case or two of delicious wine, that you will enjoy sharing with your friends and family time and time again... until the next time you go one one of the Wine Hiker's wine hike tours!
