Some Thoughts On The B&N Nook e-reader

I've seen the Sony e-readers and the Amazon Kindle. Both had great features that I really liked, but neither one really struck a chord with me. When B&N announced the Nook, I was immediately taken by the possibilities. Thanks to some foot dragging on my part, I ended up on the Feb 1st delivery date batch and got mine a little early, so I've had about a week to play with mine. Here are my thoughts on the Nook, it's strengths, weaknesses, and thoughts for improvement.

In Short: I like it enough to keep it, despite the iPad coming out next month in March.

Happy Holidays & Bridging The Wireless Divide

After spending a couple of weeks messing around with various discount wireless routers, bridges, and in some cases, boxes of junk, I finally crack the old wallet open a bit wider and find that my time and my family is worth spending a little more money and a lot less time, trying to solve the pains and woes that manufacturers have left for us consumers. For those who don't want to read the whole bit: Bravo Apple, you created a real gem with the Airport Extreme. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a headache free wireless network setup.

TinEye, A Useful Tool For Photographers

TinEye, a great image searching tool that helped me locate the original for an image! I look at using TinEye for checking for copyright violations and for finding inspiration and similar works.
