Self Summary

I'm primarily, a self-taught photographer, who started out on a cheapo $2 keychain camera, that used those 110-type film for instamatics. They took horrible photographs of squirrels at Yellow Stone National Park, and since then, I've wanted to take photographs more representative of what I saw and perceived.

I currently shoot digitally and photograph subject matter that includes portraiture, casuals, macro/closeup, landscape, nature/wildlife, product shots, and just about anything and anyone who's interested in being photographed.

I'm always interested in working with new models, makeup artists, and/or folks who want something photographed.

I currently shoot with the Sony Alpha-700, which is the successor to the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D(Dynax 7D or Alpha 7D, depending on which part of the world you hail from). My favorite lens to shoot with is the 70-210mm f/4 "beercan", which Minolta produced so many years ago. This lens is partnered with my walkabout lens, the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR. I've recently begun experimenting with a set of extension tubes for closeup photography as well as exploring the wonderful world of bokeh.

Image processing is handled by Adobe Lightroom and most of my imaging work is done on Mac OS X, currently only on my laptop, as I'm still saving up for a Mac Pro desktop. :)

I enjoy discussing photography and just about any technical subject of interest. If you've got a question, please feel free to email me through the contact link.
